Delete Sold Names From Sedo Account After Selling

Just a quick post but something I have failed at doing so thought it would be good to remind folks. After selling a domain name through another channel (i.e. direct contact) make sure you take the time to delete it from your accounts at Sedo and other aftermarket sites.

A day or so ago I received an offer on a name I sold a few months back and had failed to remove from my Sedo account, my bad on that and unfortunately Sedo does not make it easy to cancel a negotiation when something like this happens, this has happened twice to me now and from here forward I am making sure I remember to delete from various places I may have it parked or for sale.

We all get busy running around and forget the little details like this, heck we are more interested in getting payment than managing the little things like this but I think it is probably best to take care of these details immediately after the transaction. How many times have you added a name to Parked.com and had it force you to contact your account manager before you could add it to your account? Many on this side, I am sure I am not the only one. I get emails from Domain Sponsor as well stating that a name has just been moved to another account.

From here forward I am keeping a spreadsheet with the various steps to do after the transaction, this should keep me honest.

I am sure I am not the only one that does not do all these things and just expects the system to clean itself up, I commit to trying to do better, hopefully we all try.
