Sometimes They Come Back – Domain Names That Is
I have had this discussion with people before, but thought I would throw it out here. How many times have you sold a domain name and then seen it pop up in a drop list or possibly even available for hand registration?
I have had this happen several times over the past few years but one really stuck out tonight.
I try to make it a point to keep a list of decent names I have sold and ever so often do a check to see if they are available, you never know what you can find. I have had a few names I have sold for a few hundred bucks a piece pop back up for reg fee. These were solid generics that I was happy to pick back up and sell again (in one case that has already happened).
Well, tonight I was looking through the Godaddy auction list and saw one that I was REALLY surprised to see, a couple years back I sold a NLL.com for a little over a thousand dollars on Sedo. I was very happy with the price I sold it for and actually never checked this particular name again since I figured for the price paid it would never drop.
Well, guess I was wrong, the name is going to close tomorrow at Godaddy auctions. Will be interesting to see what it goes for this time around.
Any good stories you want to tell?
