Thanx for guiding me towards this line of thought. A couple of years back i had sold a LLLL.com for arnd USD2k and was following the name for a couple of months and saw the buyer was actually using it. then I forgot about it completely. Now after reading this post, I went back to that domain name, it wasn't resolving and when I did a whois search i see that the name was regged only y'day. If I had checked it earlier, maybe I wud have got a chance to get it back. But now, I will keep my eyes open.

It's because people are finally realizing that scope of the domain industry is a croc. Generics are really the only domains of true value. Of course, no domainer wants to admit that - so the nonsense goes on. But the show can only go so far, if it's not sustainable, eventually people catch on. No matter how much domain holders kick and scream.

Yes, this has happened to me a handful of times. One domain I sold for nearly $400 at Afternic last year just dropped, and I picked it up for less than 1/10 that price. Makes you wonder what (or maybe whether) the buyer was thinking ....
