Hi Bruce...

this is an interesting post. I am also trying to get traffic from social media but do not know how to start. As with most domainers, I built my sites on some niches which I am not at all familiar with, just because I have those good domains. So, my worry is that if I start tweeting and building a following in that particular niche, then I am not really an expert in that particular subject and I won't know how to answer questions on it. It might not go down too well with the followers.

Any advice on this issue?

As you said would probably make for a nice blog post - starting to see the potential of social media tools such as Twitter but still getting my feet wet...

Leonard,

The quick version:

1 blog post here (minimal impact)
Tweet each post as it comes out, but not after the initial post is done, i.e. not hours later.
Proper keywords in titles for Twitter search

It is all about targeting, admittedly my Twitter account has followers, but that is part of using the social network.

Probably could do a detailed blog post.

Oh, only after I did all of the above did I re-use a Twitter account I had and from that point forward I use it for the blog.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you want more detail bud.
