Chatting on Bido and Submitting Names Into Bido Auction
Just a quick post tonight, I had a great time in the Bido chat room during my "guest chat" session on Wed, would like to know what my WPM was during that. Keeping up with a constant barrage of questions was fun. If you have any interest in reading the chat go to the Bido and check it out. At this point you may have to log into your Bido account or create one if necessary. Click the purple chat tab, login to chat, and scroll up to read the entire chat.
On another note, I have several names that will be going through the Bido auction process, the first one is StilettoSandals.com , it currently is ranking quite nicely as a minisite but as I focus my time on my Geo developments I will be selling a few names here and there. You can see more info on the auction here : StilettoSandals.com auction
There are some other nice ones I will be putting out as well, some nice .ME names and a few 1 word .net and .org names as well as product .com names.
Sorry for the short post, more good stuff to come next week though.

After submitting a plethora of domain names and getting rejected time after time, I just gave up and wrote it off that you need to know the people running the show.
I know my names were not as bad as some of the ones that have been up for auction.
It was great having you as a guest speaker in the chatroom during the auction Bruce. Thanks, and we hope to have you again sometime.
@Ken – try Bido again please, as its the members that vote on what goes up for auction, very different than when we first started and had to pick the one best domain for one per day. We do multiple auctions per day and allow the members to vote on what goes to auction. So this type of crowdsorcing for votes provides transparency on the selection process. We hope you appreciate the change we made and we appreciate the opportunity to explain the new format.

Jarred
Bruce,
Enjoy your blog. I missed your guest chat appearance but will be sure to check back at the archived chat.
@Ken The process is much more simple than before. It appears that all domains get accepted the moment you submit them and, as Jarred mentioned, the community votes on which ones go through. Some positives of this auction are the ease of submission, the help of the bido team, 8% commission and the ability to post your pitch on the auction page. The only negative I’m going to point out is that your name could sell for something as low as $1. It’s a risk but then again, most auctions are.
All in all, it’s fun and a lot of the success of the auction depends on your marketing efforts. Get the word out in advance and be sure to direct them to the auction in all of your efforts.
Good Luck,
Chris Lopez, Jr.
@Chris, thanks. We’re further exploring the $1 issue that you mentioned. We know its not pleasant when this happens for a seller, and we want the auction process to be beneficial for all. Sahar summed it up on his blog yesterday at this link, check it out –
