Amazon Launches Easy Way To Post Affiliate Links To Twitter
Amazon has done an about face and now allows easy posting of Amazon Associate affiliate links to Twitter straight from Amazon.
Although I know many people do quite well with the Amazon Associates program I have never had real solid success anytime I attempted to use it. I cannot say I spent alot of time with it so it may not be a fair statement, but my success was not what I wanted.
All that said, Amazon had been pretty clear they were not real big on people using social media (i.e. Twitter) to promote their affiliate links but in an about face they have now added the ability to share products directly from the Amazon site by simply clicking on the Share On Twitter button that Associates see at the top of their Amazon screen when logged into Amazon.
Although I do not plan to use this on my Bruce Marler twitter account I can see good possibilities by using it on a couple Twitter accounts I have that are associated with developed sites that I have. I will keep you posted on the results.
What I think is most interesting here outside of the change of heart is the ease of use and function. It took me just a couple clicks and a tweet had been sent out with a very targeted product to a very targeted market. This should allow for a higher conversion rate than you may of had otherwise.
